- To ensure adequate security arrangements for arts, crafts and historical, cultural monuments of the museum.
- To ensure timely and proper repair, renovation and maintenance of the museum.
- To develop hanumandhoka palace for tourist attraction.
- To approve annual programme and budget.
- To use unnecessary space for income generation such as shops and courtyards rental.
- To undertake any other duties required duties for development and management of museum.
